Currently residing in Los Angeles, Jennifer Moore takes great liberty interpreting while preserving the integrity of the Great American Songbook. Her smart takes on favorites by Irving Berlin, Dorothy Fields, George & Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter have a whispered, jazzy, sultry sense of phrasing and time. She swings Jobim in Portuguese and when she swings a lyric in English you sure do believe it! “When a good night of performing happens,” says acclaimed song stylist Jennifer Moore, “it feels like an incredible workout for the heart and soul.”
As a musician, Jennifer earned a bachelors in music performance from California State University Long Beach under the direction on jazz arranger John Prince (Johnny Carson Show), noted jazz vocalist Michele Weir, top call studio trumpeter Charley Davis (Oscars/Grammy’s), jazz improviser Ron Stout (Woody Herman), legendary jazz flugelhorn /vocalist Ms.
Stacy Rowles and actress Penelope Lindbloom-Miller. As a dancer, Jennifer has trained under the direction of Las

Lady Jennifer Moore has most recently just returned from LONDON where she was featured in a two minute trailer for Dutch television in a modern remake of Debussy’s Pelleas et Melisande to be filmed in the South of Franceset 600 years later in which Melisande is no longer a victim to her Medieval environment but in fact is a strong, powerful, courageous woman who sees beyond the fantasy that people (namely two men) have for her and blows a cool solo on her trumpet.
Ms. Moore distinguishes herself in solo settings from the Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip opening for Joe Rogan of NBC’s Fear Factor to sold out art show performances at the Electric Lodge in Venice, cocktail receptions for Madame Shostakovich at the University Art Gallery in Long Beach, extended variety show runs at the Ivar Theater in Hollywood, chic cabarets at the Cinnegrill in the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel to citywide festivals in Palm Springs and Pasadena, California. As a perk Jennifer loves to greet her audiences in their native tongue and sing an indigenous song from every country she performs in.
Jennifer stars, produces and directs her own PBS Television Special entitled “That’s Jazz Baby” for Time/Warner Cable Television since 2005 and has worked under the direction of Forest Whitaker in a MTV music video for the popular
rap group MC & the Supremes.
